FTC Disclosure
The FTC recently released more stringent guidelines for bloggers regarding disclosures for financial relationships.
Here’s what you can expect at Fiscal Fizzle:
- Plain and simple, I expect to make some money from this site. It’s not a fortune (yet), but it helps to pay for hosting, domains, equipment, and to make my wife believe I run a legitimate business.
I think it’s only fair–I often put 20-30+ hours each week into my blogs. - No post is ever paid for, in any way. If I ever do a paid post in the future (unlikely), this will be made explicit up front.
- You can expect that I have an affiliate relationship with most products I review or mention using a link or banner. Most of the time, I’ll note this as (affiliate) right after a link or in the body of the post. Being an affiliate means I get a percentage of the product sale if you use my links to purchase whatever “it” is. Hopefully, I’ve gained enough of your trust so that you understand my reviews are 100% my own opinion. If I don’t like a product, I will probably never mention or review it, and when I do, you can be sure I’ll tell it like it is. The products I stand behind are solid and I use most of them myself.
- I occasionally receive free products, mostly books, to evaluate and review. If this is the case, I’ll mention it in the post I write.
- Ads by third parties, like AdSense, Chitika, and any other network, are self-explanatory and clearly evident as ads.
If you have any questions about how I make money from the site, I’m happy to help. Hit me up by email: wojo at fiscalfizzle.com.
